Self Esteem

April 08, 2025

What I am going to write here is very intuitive but we often forget it like many other simple things.

How do you form an opinion of other people? Well, it's a lot of factors that together affect your opinion of someone. But, the main theme is that you judge them based on whether they do what they tell they would do. If A tells you he's going to do xyz and he exactly does xyz, your brain subconsciously will have a positive score for A. And this will keep compounding.

Similarly, your brain also have a score for whether you keep your promises or break your promises. This score is closely associated with your self esteem and confidence. You keep crushing whatever you told you would do, your brain is gonna have an amazing self image.

It doesn't matter if the promises are big or small. It doesn't matter if the promises are made to yourself or another person. Keep promises you make. Make promises that you can keep.
